Tolling

How toll roads work during a Quik Drive rental.

Melbourne's toll roads (CityLink, EastLink) are read automatically by camera for rental vehicles — you don't need a tag or transponder. Any tolls incurred during your rental are charged to the card on file after your rental period, along with a reasonable per-notice administration fee for processing.

If you know your trip will involve significant toll travel, it's worth budgeting for it separately from your rental cost — tolls are not included in the price breakdown shown at booking, since they depend on the route you actually drive.
